Time to start all those major projects and....embrace the final exams.
I'll keep this (horrifying reality) tree diagram in my head as I make my final dash to the end of the semester.
Hark me back if i ever procastinate the slightest bit, yes?

as fast as he could

he is on his way here,
as fast as he could,
and so, you've to wait a little longer, just a little longer.

p/s: i think there is no need for me to wait any longer.
he is already here, right now, and two years ago.

thanks for getting here, by my side, as fast as you could.

all you wish for and all you need

I picture you in the sun wondering what went wrong
And falling down on your knees asking for sympathy
And being caught in between all you wish for and all you seen
And trying to find anything you can feel that you can believe in

May gods love be with you
Always
May gods love be with you

I know I would apologize if I could see your eyes
cause when you showed me myself I became someone else
But I was caught in between all you wish for and all you need
I picture you fast asleep
A nightmare comes
You cant keep awake

May gods love be with you
Always
May gods love be with you

cause if I find
If I find my own way
How much will I find
If I find
If I find my own way
How much will I find
YouI dont know anymore
What its for Im not even sure
If there is anyone who is in the sun
Will you help me to understand cause I been caught in between all I wish for and all I need
Maybe youre not even sure what its for
Any more than me

May gods love be with you
Always
May gods love be with you

the table; my table

I was thinking, since I will be at the office more often, why not make it more pretty?
My theory: Pretty stationery=more motivation to study=good grade
Pretty workstation=more eager to go to work=higher salary=
MORE FOOD AND MORE PRETTY STATIONERY.
and it goes on and on. A very pretty cycle. (:

My lappy with countless drooling cupcakes on it!
Stationary box with three adorable looking origami animals!
Monday to Friday apple wooden pegs to fill my tummy when im hungry.

the law of attraction

The phrase Law of Attraction, although used widely by New Thought writers, has a variety of definitions. A more modern consensus among New Thought thinkers is that the Law of Attraction says people's thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they're aware of it. Essentially "if you really want something and truly believe it's possible, you'll get it", but putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don't want means you'll probably get that too.

Since many of the claims of the law of attraction appear impossible without violating established scientific principles and our understanding of the universe, it has received criticism from the scientific community. Physicist Ali Alousi, for instance, criticized it as unmeasurable (and therefore unscientific) as well as questioning the likelihood that thoughts can affect anything outside the head. The Associated Press is also quoted as saying that "some medical professionals suggest it could even lead to a blame-the-victim mentality and actually be dangerous to those suffering from serious illness or mental disorders".

The Law of Attraction claims to have roots in Quantum Physics, although this is dismissed by the scientific community as pseudoscience.

According to proponents of this law, thoughts have an energy which attracts whatever it is the person is thinking of. In order to control this energy to one's advantage, proponents state that people must practice four things:
1. Know exactly what you want.
2. Ask the universe for it.
3. Feel, behave and know as if the object of your desire is already yours (visualize).
4. Be open to receive it and let go of (the attachment to) the outcome.

Thinking of what one does not have, they say, manifests itself in not having, while if one abides by these principles, and avoids "negative" thoughts, the universe will manifest a person's desires.

p/s: Interesting isn’t it? Somehow, the law of attraction incites me intensely. I didn’t try it out yet, but just by reading it, I can feel a surge of growing positive strength in me. Psychological, maybe? But at least it makes dreams a tad nearer, easier and achievable.

pp/s: At the back of mind, there is this vision board, on the board, there will be pictures of all my dreams, one day it will all come true, cause I believe it will, I know it will. (:

slowly, ever so slowly.

I read the email. and I told myself, I won't be staying put for long. 24th of Aug, I'll give it a go. (:

where are we heading to?

I detest it whenever people ask me that similar infuriating question, I gave a totally different answer everytime. And it always hit me smack right in front of my face, that I'm neither here nor there; nowhere.

OMG. Harry Potter Pick-up Lines

These things are hysterical.

Magic Pick-up lines:
Show me your Nimbus 2000 and I’ll show you my Chamber of Secrets.
Hey baby, how about I be the Seeker so I can get your Snitch?
I want to put your wand in my leaky cauldron.
Did you escape from Azkaban, becasue my Dementor wants to give you a kiss.
How about you and me bang bludgers later?
The Sorting Hat has spoken and it says I belong in your bed.
Forget Wingardium Leviosa; I’ve got my own spell to raise that wand of yours.
Wanna make me moan like Myrtle?

I’ll have you Hufflepuffing by the end of my Parseltongue session.
You know Platform 9 and 3/4? Well I know something else with the same exact measurements.

The person (prolly a guy) who came out with such (intelligent) nonsenses is a genius in his own (kinky) way.

GASP! IM EXCITED, VERYMUCH!

Tim Burton's film adaptation of Alice In Wonderland isn't out until next year, but if the promo photos are any indication, it's going to be the most visually arresting, luxurious Alice yet. Here's a look at how new Alice stacks up against older Alices from a fashion perspective.

1. Alice

The new Alice is played by 19 year old Mia Wasikowska. From the looks of her outfit--a slightly-longer than tea-length gown, white booties, fingerless gloves--in this photo, the film will be returning to Alice In Wonderland's Victorian roots. Her dress resembles cartoon Disney Alice's frock, but owes more in feel and attitude to Arthur Rackham's haunting, Earthy vision of Alice. Also, I just noticed this, but look how chubby cartoon Alice's calves are compared to her arms. Also glad that Wasikowska-Alice isn't a super-blonde blonde.

2. Tweedledee & Tweedledum

Maybe it's the black and white prison stripe shirts, but Burton must have been channeling the Addams Family when he did his version of Dee and Dum. Matt Lucas plays both of them. They look menacing and slightly Mongoloid in this illustration--you wouldn't want to be running into this pair on the playground anytime soon. Disney's cartoon twins in their bright, primary color jumpers look like effete clowns by comparison. Tenniel's twins look like thugs.

3. Mad Hatter

Johnny Depp was all but born to play this role. Or rather, it's a role he's been playing for film after film after film now. Looks like he's a redhead in Tim Burton's flick. He's also way more psychedelic and frightening than either Sir John Tenniel's imagining of the Mad Hatter or Disney's portly, nebbishy Mad Hatter (who by comparison looks like he is on his way to a congressional hearing instead of a tea party). The pink sash around the hat and pink shirt peeping out from behind the wacky cravat are a nice touch. Why does pink on guys always connote crazy? I expect we'll be seeing a lot of this on Halloween and at cosplay conventions.

4. The Red Queen

Loving the heart-shaped geisha style lipstick on Helena Bonham Carter's pasty white face. The candy apple red hair--also a nice touch. The crisp white collar winging up from the bodice of her blue velvet gown is a nifty homage to cartoon Disney Red Queen. I like that she's not decked out in head-to-toe red and that her gown isn't a giant heart card. And that she's not mannish and butch like both cartoon Disney and Tenniel's Red Queen. Women in power--especially the violent, vicious ones--are sexy these days.
5. The White Queen

There was no White Queen in Disney's animated version of Alice In Wonderland. The White Queen is a character who appeared in Lewis Carroll's sequel Though the Looking-Glass. Anne Hathaway plays her in Burton's film. She looks amazing and sort of like what every girl wishes she looked like at prom, or at her wedding. And wow, that blood red lipstick against all the white! Will her gown have those puffy white Michelin Man rings around the skirt? One can only hope.
P/S: Tim Burton amazing piece of work, once again. adding on Johnny (sexy) depp as Mad Hatter, together with Anne hathaway. I daresay this is gonna be a big hit come next year. (:

The Tales Of Beetle The Bard

Went Kovan for a hearty breakfast with Val. Yes, I said breakfast. We were on our way to school for project consultation with the teacher (gosh! Whats his name?!) and somehow, the whole class seems to be missing, including the teacher. (according to nat and eliza who were on time for lesson!) so where is everyone?!

The wanton noodle is mouth-watering (of course, look at the queue!) the gossiping (bitching) is even better. (:

I walked out of Popular with an unpaid book. (HOW?!) Sometimes, I feel like killing myself for being so ditzy. I intended (really!) to buy “THE TALES OF BEEDLE THE BARD BY JK ROWLING” to add to my HARRYPOTTER collection. (I think im overly excited about Potter, again. But who doesn’t? okay, maybe its just me.) sigh. Amidst all the bitching, whining and indulging in my Venezia Tartufo icecream(too good, seriously), somehow I just plain forgot that the book is in my hand. And the sensors are not working! (whpew, or not? I don’t know.) ohwell, its only when the Watson sensor started buzzing (so loudly!) in my ears, that I realized im holding a book that is worth 22.90.

And so I got a book for free. (heheheheheh!)

p/s: checked my IM result a moment ago. I cant believe im that brainless, the result is out one week ago and I checked it but somehow I didn’t absorb the fact that it is my grades. I thought it is some senseless futile numbers. Haha. I gt 16/20. Whoohoo. Higher than what I expected. Look like woodlands library do me good, all the time.

and so i say...

1. we cycled for four (freaking) hours. all the way from East Coast to Changi. we rented the bike for an hour. and the uncle gave us another two more hours free (strange marketing strategy) and a bottle of water(good move, im impressed!) still, we exceeded by one hour. seriously ah!
2. Ken wears transition glasses! its amusing seeing how it works. it acts as a shades when he is under the sun. and clear when it is getting dark. and so the colour of the lenses is like ever-changing for the whole day. such great invention!
3. Ken brought poncho along, in case it rains. (Damn uncle!)
4. my legs are still as wobbly as jelly now. (i can feel it in my bones that I had a great workout!)
5. and so i say, i dont need Felix Felicis (a lucky potion in the HarryPotter's world) to make my ordinary day extraordinary!

(:

hello black pig ramen

honestly, i still prefer the (uber) yummy ramen at Clarke Quay Central. (cant seem to remember the name of the restaurant, but i'll never forget where it is ,which is good enough!)
this black pig is not too bad, but somehow the texture of the noodles doesnt seem to match up to my favourite ramen stall. (thats explains why it is my favourite!) but ohwell, the black pig is really tasty, very tender and (luckily, whpew!) it is not black in colour. imagine chewing a slice of black (colour) piggy. will it be tastier, not?

the vending machine

I spotted a vending machine on my way home.
I stared at it slightly more than a sec, and smiled to myself.
This might sound crazy, but I was really excited.
There are tons of crackers and snacks inside. And somehow, it looks a tad more lip-smacking than those selling at the mama shop.
I dropped 70cents, punched in D3 and tada, out comes a packet of cheezels!
The “pongbongkonk” sound really entices me in a way.
I started to search my whole bag for coins. (I looked uber unglam, like some starving primary school kid)
I found about two dollars worth of coins. (:
And so, I went home with a packet of cheezels, rollercoaster and J&J chips.
One packet of snack from the vending machine cost me 70cents, one identical packet from the mama shop cost the most 50cents.
Still, im deliriously contented with my prized possessions. (I half expected the machine to conk out; from all the terrible experiences I had with vending machines since primary school days.)

hello free cones day.

Harder than you know

You said this could only get better
There's no rush cause we have each other
You said this would last forever
But now I doubt if I was your only lover

Are we just lost in time?
I wonder if your love is the same
Cause I am not over you

Baby, dont talk to me
I'm trying to let go
Not loving you is harder than you know
Cause girl, your driving me so crazy

psychic phenomena

This may sound really silly. But I was once an avid horoscope signs reader (I gt plently of horoscopes book at home!). and some moments ago, I was absorbed by the whole supernatural stuff. again.

teeeheee.

I want a Pisces boy. okay. no. I need a cute Pisces boy. (:

Guess what?

Today is marbleslab's friends and family day!
and we get to bring two friends along to have free icecream from seven till ten!
(:
the best part of the free ice cream? its gonna be scooped, mixed and squashed by me. (i'll be adding in lots of love and xoxo toooo!)

p/s: im really excited for later! canyoutell?canyoutell?

the twenty first

I told myself that when the clock strikes twelve, I want to be doing something that I love.
And so, I turned 21 while moving back and forth on a swing at the playground.
Jo was beside me.
And she said: “mal, this is the eleventh time im wishing you happy birthday!”
We have been best friends since primary five till now.
At the moment, its like an emotion rush. Terribly mixed feelings.

I can feel myself as a child, gobbling up my lunch during recess so that I can make a trip to the bookshop or play girly games with my friends.
I can feel myself being so nervous about getting PSLE result. And how happy I was when I saw the score.
When I was 14, I met my first love. The one with the nicest dimples ever. I’ll never forget the first kiss that we had. And all the playful times we spent together.
And the breakup. And the patch up. And the break up again.
I can feel the sugar rush in me as I thought of all the swoon-worthy boys that I’ve met in polytechnic.
Hockey.
Projects.
Presentation.
Exams.
My favourite bunch of bimbos that I met during my second year at Sentosa.
Internship at Singapore Tourism Board. Where my body clock was totally wired the wrong way. I woke up at wee hour in the morning and slept at wee hour in the morning as well.
That very moment when I saw his profile on the computer.
All the msn conversations that we shared.
Those random phone calls.
Botanical garden with lil boshy at weird time of the night.
All those times, with him, I was overwhelmed with a special kind of happiness.
And the abrupt ending of everything.

the ending that I dont want at all.
the ending that I never once thought will ever happened.
but it happened. somehow.

Still, Im a happy girl on my 21st.
26th of June: Thanks for the wonderful day at Sentosa. The scapebook, the flower, the balloon, the gift and mostly, the love.
27th of June: Thanks for all the birthday wishes. (: Birthday song at Marbleslab which made me feel like hiding my face behind a paperbag with two holes for my eyes. The pretty surprise flower delivered while im working. and the surprise presence of joyce and fishy. The cozy sweet family dinner at Jumbo Seafood whereI tasted the most delicious prawns ever. (:
The night ended so well.
28th of June: Training at marbleslab with a bunch of funloving people. and the wonderful dinner with the bims. The huge collection of my favourite kinder bueno! and love the stupid game that we played though joyce and I lost horrifyingly.

this week is packed.
still,
I'll try to squeeze in those random 21st dinner. (: thanks for the thoughts, you and you and you.

Why it is time to hyperventilate

Its Monday.
And it’s the beginning of a crazily wild week.
Two days of work at PayaLebar, two days of school, four days of Marble Slab trainings, Four birthday celebrations with four different group of awesome lovely friends.
Adding on: 1 midterm test and 1 individual assignment submission.

All in seven days.

p/s: I need a koala bear hug to keep me going.
pp/s: How about some kinder bueno? you can buy the value pack. its cheaper.
ppp/s: maybe I should just whine and moan for the whole seven days to whoever near me. (: but no, i like it that im that occupied. at least, my mind is better off that way.

Saturday, June 20, 2009

have u been happy today?

Happy 22nd birthday to you, keat.

The phone call last night was like a door slammed right into my face.
All I want is just to wish you Happy birthday in a more “humantouch” way. Somehow, texting you a message just doesn’t seem enough. You deserved more than just a 5cent worth of message. But I guess, to you, it doesnt really matter.

p/s: i still care about you, everything about you, you know?

I felt pretty last night

Definitely not physically though (how can that be?), I felt pretty deep within.
The party was awesomely good (:
I like how everyone squeezed comfortably in a small tiny room even though we hardly knew each other.
Strumming of guitar, ringing of Jason Marz and Coldplay, binging on yummy delights, all the laughters, merriment and amusement, stupid old –school donkey game and the small curly poodle - Shylee.
And im down with the donkey curse. (why is that so?) Im supposed to be damn good in the donkey game (Back to the age of 3 year old). Pffffft.
And so, when you asked,
“have I been a good host?”
My answer to you…. You certainly are. I really do enjoy my night!

(:

Happy Birthday Alyssa!

Happy 21st! my dearest girl.
For your birthday this year,
I decided to bestow you one of my all time favourite possessions......

EDWARD CULLEN!

p/s: you must be damn happy now.
pp/s: bigger piece of durian cake for me later, okay?
ppp/s: im looking forward to get high and wasted tonight. (:

Friday, June 19, 2009

The freezer room is stocked up with ice-cream mix. I repeat, ice-cream mix! I can feel the tinge of excitement in me as I pushed open the door. The freezer is (obviously) freaking freezing cold. And boy, im so scared. I refused to close the door. The thought of us trapped in the icy cold room is akin to a final destination journey. Or even worse. Since it wouldn’t be me pointing at every sadist death and laugh with gusto like how I did when I watched final destination (whatever sequence it is!) It will be you, laughing at my ghastly wretched fatality (pfffffft). But oh well, for the sake of making ice-cream, of course I still went into the freezer room with the door closed. (okay,I didn’t. Cat hurled me in.) haha. And so, I learned that the freezer door will budge at the slightest push. (you’ll see me more often lurking around the freezer room smelling for ice-cream after today)

And so, I made ice-cream today with Cat and Roger. To be precise, I made Ice-cream cakes and pies. Sweet Cream flavoured ice-cream. (:

Talking about being ditzy(again), I whined my head off (im so great at whining) that I cannot carry nor do anything with the freezer gloves. They looked at me and laughed. Okay, I wore the freezer gloves the wrong way. Argh.

p/s: Dinner-picnic after a long day at work with you is such a bliss. Xoxo.
pp/s: A very huge shoutout goes to my dearest bims, really touched by all your messages. Another 18hours more to seeing you all!
ppp/s: you wont want to what goes on in my head. ):

its only gonna get better

Its only during shit times like this,
I can tell that there are so many people whom I can turn to.

p/s: going to bed is such a challenge, (maybe) bedtime tonight will be less agonizing with you around. thanks again and again and all over again.

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

it ends tonight.

After tonight, it will be another brand new chapter of life for me.

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

I'm (not) yours.

I've been spending way too long to try to see things clearer.
There's no need to complicate, our time is short.

Saturday, June 13, 2009

thats why i heart you

Something noteworthy:
I felt much comforted after a long talk and good cry in the gloomy room.
Something sugary:
I like how boyfriend secretly dump a ferro rocher into the right pocket of the lacoste jacket.
Something self-derogatory:
Its all up to me. to make it or to break it. But what if im not up to it?

the clock ticks relentlessly away

The slow and gradual build up,
of frustrations and insecurities,
of chagrin and vexation,
will all end tonight.

I cant afford to flunk life. seriously.
